Slavery in Colonial Tidewater Virginia

My current book, Slavery in Colonial Tidewater Virginia, is currently in the production stage of the publication process. The book is being published by The History Press, an imprint of Arcadia Publishing.
My book takes a look at the history of slavery in Virginia, the Old Dominion, through some stories of lesser known and many unknown enslaved people from Virginia’s Tidewater region. The book also has a major focus on some of the major laws passed during the Colonial era with a large emphasis on the 1705 Virginia Slave Codes. The book also features a foreword by Joseph McGill, Jr., executive director of the Slave Dwelling Project and co-author of the book, Sleeping with the Ancestors: How I Followed the Footprints of Slavery.
